In a nutshell: I was born in England, studied engineering there and moved to Germany around 23 years ago. I am a freelance technical translator and yoga trainer.
I built up my skills to become a WOYO® teacher (200 hours), PNF-Gym and BodyBalanceTM trainer and also have an Intensive Yoga A-Licence from safs & beta. I continue to learn and develop my skills on the many aspects of yoga and health through training courses.
My first contact with yoga around 15 years ago was rather disconcerting. Yoga didn’t ‘work’ for me – it seemed to be about sitting or standing around for long periods of time and chanting Om, and it wasn’t physically taxing (remember, I was a passionate aerobic trainer at the time). But the seed was sown. A few years later, our paths crossed again and this time, we ‘clicked’! I realized that yoga, although physical, was far more than just ‘sport’.
I was ready to let yoga into my life. I hope you are too.
I am deeply indebted to all those who I meet along this path, whether teachers or students, particularly Young-Ho Kim, Sonja Söder, Peter Schlösser, Anna Trökes, Bryan Kest and Eberhard Bärr.
